Next was the graduation ceremony in a packed gym with Chloe's colorful immediate fam-dam-ily (each family gets six tickets). The balmy 80 degrees outside made the gym resemble a Finnish sauna. None the less, the gym was filled with excitement. This graduating class of 277 kids had 120 students with high honors and 140 with honors, and 19 National Merit Students. Together they amassed over 14.5 million dollars in scholarships. Chloe's accomplishments included graduating with honors and scholarships from 5 schools.

I had to laugh this week when some of my highschool friends were commenting on facebook to some pictures from our own graduation. Here I am hemming Chloe's gown, prepping for her graduation, trying to keep up with her social calendar of grad party and event after event ... just as i am being reminded of my own high school graduation. For fun, here is a picture of me from a graduation party 31 years ago with our school exchange student, Jeroen, from Holland.
