For some reason I could not get blogger to upload more than one or two pics at a time (the resolution of each pic is really high) - so here are a few of my favorites. But here is a link to all the pics you can scroll through:

It might ask you to enter your email - go ahead.

After several more trips to K-mart and endless creative space conserving exercises, Chloe and Karleigh's room is ready for fun.

End of Day 5:

Chloe's Graduation Weekend

Chloe's graduation weekend began Thursday with her last final exam, saying good-bye to her favorite teachers and skipping out the doors of Bishop Blanchet High School for the last time. It was a glorious 75 degree day! Friday evening she had another prom (Ballard High School) with her friend Reed ... on goes the goddess outfit, on go the flowers, dinner at a country club, dancing, home to change and eat, and off to the prom after party (pictures to come later). With sleepy in her eyes she wandered in at 4:30am, the sun beginning to rise, ready for a BIG nap before graduation.

Next was the graduation ceremony in a packed gym with Chloe's colorful immediate fam-dam-ily (each family gets six tickets). The balmy 80 degrees outside made the gym resemble a Finnish sauna. None the less, the gym was filled with excitement. This graduating class of 277 kids had 120 students with high honors and 140 with honors, and 19 National Merit Students. Together they amassed over 14.5 million dollars in scholarships. Chloe's accomplishments included graduating with honors and scholarships from 5 schools.

As we speak she is at the BBHS "Last Blast" a secret all night affair for the senior class. They board buses to a surprise destination or two for an all night party. Again, she will drag herself to bed just as the sun is declaring another glorious early summer day. What a life!

I had to laugh this week when some of my highschool friends were commenting on facebook to some pictures from our own graduation. Here I am hemming Chloe's gown, prepping for her graduation, trying to keep up with her social calendar of grad party and event after event ... just as i am being reminded of my own high school graduation. For fun, here is a picture of me from a graduation party 31 years ago with our school exchange student, Jeroen, from Holland.

Times like these ... the ultimate time warp!!
